Well, I went to see Alphonse Mucha's work and was so inpired I created my own piece of art nouveau. Uploaded it and got the reply that it was not fantasy themed. Shame on me, cause although it felt like fantasy there were definitely no elements that made it that. Stupid!

But my inspiration was not over just yet, so I decided to make an upside down Mucha. This for me meant Art Nouveau, but just unlike that of Mucha. So I created a beautifull male angel, put the cirlce that seems to run through his art below and added my own trait (celtic knotwork) to it.

It made me think of it as a sort of religeous image as I felt there were many elements joining each other in this picture and I hadn't predicted that, so that's why I leave the title blank for now as I don't know what it is anymore...

Wow! This pic must have taken you forever! It was worth it though. It looks great. Very mosaic.

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "IT took longer than my average piece of work yes... but I had a lot of inspiration, so I could keep going!"

Dude, im sorry, i love your work, but i see what you mean about the anatomy being off, doesn't matter though i wont say more

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Hrm.. I didn't mention the anatomy being off, and neither did they say so on Epilogue. You might find the foot a bit on the small side, but heck.. and you don't have to be sorry when you say what you think 12 it's a free country, and I'm glad you like my work!"

That is so HKJHLUH(I want to swear because my awe is so intense so just these letters came out!) AMAZING! really. I love drawing anatomy and that is great! but the thing that gets me is the detail of the circle..... i meen.....WOW!!! Im lost for words! did you really do all of those TINY little squares yourself? THE BEAUTY.....THE COLOUR!.....THE PATIENCE!!!!! Wow. keep going!

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "I must say it is evry satisfieing to leave someone speachless! Thankyou soo much! The size is A3 it took me a while but I founf that a lot of great art is made on large scale so since then I've been forcing myself to do more detail and only use A4 for skeching.. though I do not always live up to that rule 12"

I have no idea how to put into words what this says to me. It does seem religious to me. Keep going!!

P.S. How is it you could get his feet to look...pointy?

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "I'm not sure how my feet look pointy. I think the feet in this one are something that could have used some more care and patience. I think maybe the shadow helps though!I'm glad it had a jawdropping effect on you! 2"

Wauw.. Oh God, the details! 1

Mooi hoor. 12

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Thanks! I strive for lots of detail, though I found that working on bigger scale takes care of that most of the time!"

That is soooo pretty... I love how it looks like a mosaic. The knotwork is incredible... How long did this take you?

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Glad you like it! Not sure how long it took.. I thinka couplke hours over two or three days."

I found this by searching on knotwork, but the mosaic is by far the cooler portion of this piece. I adore the styl. Yes, it's got noveau influence, but I do think this is something that's probably unique the artist!

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Thanks! I'm glad you like the knotwork, though I'm sure this is one of the simplest things I've ever done with knotwork. It is in my own style, but it is very much inspired though Mucha, whom I find a great artist! Thanks for dropping in!"
