| 3 Apr 2004 | Louise | Loading...Hi! I think you have really captured the African ethnicity and radiance in your art. Was the Angel an inspiration from an African tribe perhaps? She seems to resemble an Indebele woman... Much admiration for your work! A South African fan- Louise P.S Please give Iris my regards Meike de Nooy replies: "Hey! I recognised your name! So neat you people wind up here! I think I can safely assume it is through the link on Iris' site? About the angel: She is one from the Tuareg tribe (somewhere in Mali) and was inspired of a book on african jewelerry we have! I love africa If someone looks at this picture and can smell the dust after the the first rains of the rainseason then I must have succeeded! Thankyou for dropping me a line! I'l give iris a hug for you " | |

| 19 Apr 2008 | Blkcat | Loading...This is beautiful!!! I have been looking for someone who has done African Angels that look realistic and this is one of the few I have seen. It would be great to do a series based on the different great tribes of Africa with really cool looking wings. If you are not familiar with Ruth Thompson, check her angels out to see what I mean. She did a book of them. | |
