SciFi and Fantasy Art: Earth (or Reverence)

The second one in my series of elements. Air (or Freedom) being the first.
I chose this one because it is an african priest who is singing a hymn to the gods. I found that to portray earth I took an African because I believe they are closer to the earth then we westeners ever will be. And then I always have a week spot for Africa!

Media: coloured pencils (brown and white) on coloured paper.

He looks like he has seen a lot and has something to sing to the gods about. Beautiful. Meike de Nooy replies: "He has seen lot! 18 May 2007	Danielle	Loading... I think that this picture is incredible. It seems to me as though he's looking off to some distant horizon with a hope for the future that we often feel when in our better moods. To me, he is inspiring. Keep it up, most assuredly.
